Plants of various types can be found all around us. Some plants are tiny, while others are enormous. The appearance and characteristics of each plant vary.
Plants are classified morphologically.
Herbs
These plants are small, with soft stems that grow up to three or four feet above the ground. Basil and mint are two examples of herbs.
Shrubs
Shrubs are taller than herbs, reaching two to three meters in height. The rose plant and the jasmine plant are two examples of shrubs.
Trees
These are large plants that can reach a height of five to twenty meters. Coconut trees, mango trees, and banyan trees are just a few examples of trees.

Mesophytes
These plants can only be found on land. To survive, they need a moderate amount of water. Rose and neem are two examples.
Hydrophytes
These plants require water to survive and cannot live without it. Water lily is an example.
Xerophytes
These plants thrive in deserts and only require a small amount of water to survive. A cactus is an example.
Flowering plants
There are two types of flowering plants.
Gymnosperms
Pine and cycas are two examples.
Angiosperms
Dicots and monocots are two examples.

There are three types of these.
Thallophyta
Spirogyra is an example of a Thallophyta.
Bryophyta
Mosses are examples of Bryophyta.
Pteridophyta
Ferns are examples of Pteridophyta.
