Recommended Activity: AI Games
To engage learners in a fun and interactive way, introduce them to three games that showcase different domains of AI.
Game 1: Rock, Paper, and Scissors – based on data analysis and machine learning algorithms.
Game 2: Mystery Animal – based on Natural Language Processing (NLP) where learners have to guess the name of an animal by asking yes or no questions.
Game 3: Emoji Scavenger Hunt – based on Computer Vision (CV) where learners have to find real-life objects that match the emojis displayed on their screen.
Recommended Activity: AI Quiz
Conduct a paper and pen or online quiz to test learners’ knowledge on AI concepts, including machine learning, neural networks, natural language processing, computer vision, and robotics.
Recommended Activity: Writing a Letter to One’s Future Self
To encourage reflection and goal-setting, ask learners to write a letter to their future selves, describing what they have learned so far and what they hope to learn in the future. This activity will help them stay motivated and focused on their learning journey.
2. Relate
During a video session, introduce learners to the concept of Smart Cities, Smart Schools, and Smart Homes, and discuss how AI technology can be used to create more efficient, sustainable, and innovative environments.
Recommended Activity: Interactive Story Writing
To encourage learners to think creatively and apply their knowledge of AI technology, ask them to draw a floor plan of a Home/School/City and write an interactive story around it using the Story Speaker extension in Google Docs. This activity will enable learners to develop their storytelling and creative skills while also learning how to use AI tools.
3. Purpose
Session: Introduction to sustainable development goals
Recommended Activity: Go Goals Board Game Learners to answer questions on Sustainable Development Goals.
4. Possibilities
Session: Theme-based research and Case Studies.
To provide learners with a practical understanding of AI applications, share various case studies of inspiring start-ups, companies, or communities where AI has been involved in real-life.
Next, assign learners a theme around which they need to research present AI trends and envision the future of AI within their respective theme.
Recommended Activity: Job Ad Creation
To encourage learners to think critically about the impact of AI on the job market, ask them to create a job advertisement for a firm, describing the nature of the job available and the skill-set required for it 10 years down the line.
They need to consider how AI is going to transform the nature of jobs and create the advertisement accordingly. This activity will enable learners to develop their understanding of the potential impact of AI on the workforce and how to prepare for it.
5. Ethics of Artificial Intelligence
Video Session: Discussing about AI Ethics
Recommended Activity: Ethics Awareness
- Students play the role of major stakeholders and they have to decide what is ethical and what is not for a given scenario.
Session: AI Bias and AI Access
- Discussing about the possible bias in data collection
- Discussing about the implications of AI technology
Recommended Activity: Balloon Debate
Divide students into teams of three, and assign two teams the same theme. One team will argue in favor of AI, while the other will argue against it.
Each team must prepare and present their points on why AI is either beneficial or harmful to society. The Balloon Debate activity will encourage learners to think critically about the potential benefits and drawbacks of AI and allow them to develop their argumentation and persuasive skills.
Artificial Intelligence in a Nutshell –
Machine Intelligence is another term for Artificial Intelligence. Essentially, Artificial Intelligence (AI) refers to the capability of machines or computers to perform cognitive functions similar to those associated with the human brain. This includes tasks such as thinking, problem-solving, and learning.
Artificial Intelligence Jobs In India
India is not widely recognized as a center for cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI) research, partly due to the persistent misconceptions regarding the potential loss of human jobs brought about by Machine Learning, Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence.
Consequently, India has yet to articulate a clear long-term vision for the application of Artificial Intelligence. Nonetheless, AI presents vast employment opportunities with exciting new dimensions for career growth.
Future Of Artificial Intelligence In India
As Artificial Intelligence continues to garner support, an increasing number of people are interested in pursuing careers in this field. The scope of AI in India is significant due to the country’s goal of creating a technology-focused work environment that promotes efficiency and the provision of optimal solutions to various problems. It is only a matter of time before AI becomes an integral part of our daily lives, as it has already started to do so.
